PUBLIC NOTICE: Richmond Heights Police, Fire and EMS Dispatching to be Serviced by Heights Hillcrest Communications Center Effective March 1, 2018
Effective March 1, 2018, in a move to enhance public safety services to the community, Richmond Heights police, fire and EMS dispatching will be done by the Heights Hillcrest Communications Center, a regional dispatch center that was created by the cities of Richmond Heights, South Euclid, Cleveland Heights, University Heights and Shaker Heights. More dispatch and call taker personnel will be available to handle simultaneous calls for service requests. Calling the Richmond Heights Police or Fire Department will not change relative to 9-1-1 emergency calls or calls to the non-emergency police and fire telephone numbers (Police: 216-486-1234; Fire: 216-486-1212). The administrative functions of the police department will still be handled at the police station, such as obtaining permits, paying parking citations, requests for house watches, etc., during normal business hours.
