Questions and Answers

Q:  Can you provide a clarification to paragraph 26 of the bid documents that references recirculation of exhaust and ambient air thru vents?

A:  The exhaust shall have the ability through vents in the building or fans to re-circulate the ambient air in the bays as needed to remove excess heat buildup due to summer temperatures and fumes generated during equipment maintenance in the bays.

The system will be configured so it can be utilized to ventilate the apparatus bay of exhaust fumes and heat from sources other than vehicles. Examples include gas powered tools such as saws, portable generators, and extrication tools. In addition, the system should have the ability to remove excess environmental heat from the bay during the summer months.
