Commission on Aging



Ref: CHAPTER 169 of the City's Codified Ordinances

The Commission on Aging was created to serve in an advisory capacity to Council on all matters relating to aging. It shall recommend programs for the aging citizens of the City and means of implementing such programs. The Mayor and the President of Council shall be permanent non-voting members of the Commission.

The Commission typically meets on the second Thursday of the month at 10:00 am. View the Events Calendar for up to date details.

Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA)
The Area Agency is responsible for planning, coordinating and administering state and federal funded programs and services for older adults. It is one of twelve regional area agencies on aging designated by the Ohio Department of Aging as authorized by the federal Older Americans Act.

Richmond Heights Senior Citizen Club News

The Senior Citizens’ Club is the place to be this winter. They are bowling on Monday mornings with the highlight of the day - lunch at various nearby restaurants; also playing cards on Tuesday afternoon at City Hall. General meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. in the Kiwanis Lodge. Entertainment is planned for every meeting; refreshments and pastry are available for $1.
