NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The City of Richmond Heights Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on October 7th, 2020 at 7:00 PM to consider the appeal of Mr. Erick H. Walton, 2090 Newcome Street, Richmond Heights, Ohio. Mr. Walton, is proposing to erect a new accessory building on a landlocked parcel of land (on Harlowe Street) adjoining his parcel on Newcome Street in Richmond Heights, Ohio. Mr. Walton is requesting relief from the requirements of Section 1135.02 of the Codified Ordinances which permit a garage or storage building to be constructed only as an accessory structure and not as a permitted principal structure in the R-2 Zoning District in the City of Richmond Heights. Mr. Walton is proposing to construct his storage building as the sole building on the parcel (the parcel in question has no primary building erected on it). Mr. Walton is also requesting relief from Section 1135.04(c) of the Codified Ordinances which permits an accessory building on a 7500 square foot parcel to be a maximum size of 120 square feet in area and with a maximum height of 11-feet. Mr. Walton wishes to construct a 224 square foot storage building with a height to the peak of 16-feet, 4-inches.
