Architectural Review Board (ARB)
The Architectural Review Board (ARB) consists of three members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the members of Council.

Beautification Fund
Individuals and businesses can contribute to Richmond Heights beautification through the support of the Flower Basket Program. The City plans to purchase and install 18 baskets at the main intersections in Richmond Heights, City buildings and park locations. The Service Department will maintain the flower baskets through the summer months.

City Records Commission
The Records Commission exists to initiate and to promulgate plans and rules for the reproduction of City records for the purposes of their safe and economical storage.

Civil Service Commission
The Civil Service Commission provides rules for the merit; fitness; appointment and promotion of classified employees of the City provided that such rules are consistent with the Constitution of the State of Ohio.

Commission on Aging
The Commission on Aging was created to serve in an advisory capacity to Council on all matters relating to aging. It shall recommend programs for the aging citizens of the City and means of implementing such programs. The Mayor and the President of Council shall be permanent non-voting members of the Commission.

Community Connection Cultural Commission
The Richmond Heights Community Connection Cultural Commission will promote community spirit by facilitating multicultural awareness for all people living and working in or visiting the City of Richmond Heights; and, will accomplish this through education, motivation and communication.

Planning Commission
Among its other functions, the Planning Commission oversees the drafting of the City Master Plan and the official Map of the City.

Recreation Board
The Recreation Department is administered by a seven-member board, which meets the third Wednesday of each month.

Tree Commission
The Tree Commission exists to act in an advisory capacity to the Mayor, City Council , employees and residents with respect to matters involving trees within the City. The Tree Commission also oversees the City’s annual Tree Program.

Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA)
The ZBA has authority to recommend zoning variances to Council provided such variances are consistent with the general intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
